Dr Llanos is an interventional and structural cardiologist and helps to lead the cardiovascular service line at Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale. He had the opportunity to train at Massachusetts General Hospital in interventional and structural cardiology. Prior to training in Boston, Dr.Llanos trained in Atlanta at Emory University in General Cardiology. He additionally did basic and translational science work at University of Miami and Emory University with a focus on ischemia/reperfusion injury and redox myocyte cell signaling. He went on to obtain an MBA at the Universit of Florida. He now focuses on serving on the Trinity Health (Parent corporation of Holy Cross and a 92 hospital system) national cardiovascular clinical council to help define and elevate clinical practice standards. He also serves on the board for ACHN (An ACO that represents Holy Cross and Memorial Health Care). He is responsible for continued growth of the cardiovascular service line at Holy Cross Health in his role as a physican dyad leader with the Executive Director of the Heart and Vascular Center.
