Marcus St. John, MD, FACC, FSCAI is medical director of the cardiac catheterization labs at Baptist Hospital Miami and West Kendall Baptist Hospital, Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. In addition to interventional cardiology, his clinical interests include general and preventive cardiovascular medicine.
Dr St John is a leader in undergraduate and graduate medical education and is a Clinical Associate Professor at Florida International University, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine where he has taught and mentored medical students since 2010. He is the Associate Program Director of the FIU-Baptist Hospital Internal Medicine Residency program. Dr St John has lectured extensively throughout the US and Caribbean on heart disease and preventive cardiovascular medicine. He has participated in clinical research studies and registries and co-authored several peer-reviewed scientific articles.
Dr. St. John has been recognized multiple times by his colleagues for his exemplary patient care, including as the Baptist Health Medical Group Physician of the Year in 2018 and as the first recipient of the Baptist Hospital Herbert H. Greene, MD Memorial Physician of the Year in 2020. He is a leader in the South Florida Chapter of the American Heart Association serving as Board President from 2022-2024.
